Lavender Essential Oil
Sweet, floral, and deeply comforting, Lavender essential oil is one of the most versatile in aromatherapy. Thanks to its traditionally recognized antiseptic, antifungal, and soothing properties, it's often the essential oil to have if you could only choose one.
In aromatherapy (diffusion), its relaxing effects are particularly prized: it helps relieve pressure, calm the mind, and create an atmosphere conducive to rest. For topical use, always well diluted in a carrier oil or gel, Lavender is appreciated for soothing nervousness, anxiety, and distress, reducing stress, and promoting sleep.
It is also very useful for everyday life: applied topically (always diluted), it can soothe an insect bite, help calm itching, and cleanse the area (traditional use). In massage, it is also often used to accompany muscle, joint, rheumatic pain, and headaches.
